What Onyx is

Onyx IPTV is a media player, nothing more. The app supplies no television content, no playlists and no streams, and runs no content servers of its own.

To play anything you add your own source — an M3U playlist or an Xtream login from your provider.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for which sources you add and for whether you are entitled to use the content they reach. Only use access that is lawfully yours.

The developer has neither knowledge of nor influence over the content delivered through your sources.

Bundled demo content

The built-in demo playlist contains only openly licensed films by the Blender Foundation (Sintel, Tears of Steel, Big Buck Bunny) under CC BY 3.0. It exists so the app can be tried without a provider of your own.

Onyx Pro

Onyx Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Management and cancellation happen in your Apple account's App Store settings, not in this app. Existing purchases can be recovered at any time with “Restore Purchases”.

Without Onyx Pro the app remains fully usable; Pro lifts limits and unlocks additional features.

Availability and liability

Whether a stream runs, and how reliably, depends on your provider and your connection. No guarantee can be given for either.

The app is provided as it stands. Liability is limited to what the law requires; your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Components used

Onyx uses VLCKit (LGPL 2.1) as its second playback engine. Its source is available at code.videolan.org/videolan/VLCKit.
